The Department of Anthropology in the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Indigenous anthropological archaeology with a focus on North America. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, and will commence on July 1, 2021, or shortly thereafter.

The University of Toronto Scarborough, the Department of Anthropology invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Archaeology.  The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of July 1, 2021, or shortly thereafter.

Applicants must have earned a PhD in Anthropology or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter.  We seek candidates with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing field research in North America (Canada and / or the United States).  Preference may be given to candidates with an interest in developing a vibrant research program including field research based in Ontario.

Ces dernières semaines, nous avons assisté à des manifestations contre le racisme aux États-Unis, au Canada et dans le monde entier, les gens se rassemblant pour condamner les meurtres de George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Regis Korchinski-Paquet et toutes les victimes des brutalités policières et de la violence raciste. L’ACA est solidaire de toutes les victimes d’injustice systémique et appelle ses membres à agir.
