The Department of Anthropology & Archaeology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Digital Heritage. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching engage digital methods and ethics in heritage across archaeology and social and cultural anthropology. We welcome applicants who advance collaborative, community-engaged, and public-facing work (e.g., LiDAR/remote sensing; digital repatriation; community archives; digital storytelling, co-created exhibits; GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums partnerships), and who address equity, data governance, and long-term stewardship in culturally responsive ways. Our department is advancing the University of Calgary's strategic plan, Ahead of Tomorrow, by contributing to the "Digital Worlds" research area of focus, which seeks to understand data and human connection through transdisciplinary approaches.
