2026 Conference Sponsorship
The Joint Annual Meeting of the Canadian Archaeological Association/Association Canadienne d’archéologie (CAA/ACA) and Archaeological Society of Alberta – Calgary Centre (ASA) will be held in Canmore, Alberta, from May 6-10, 2026.
This large meeting will welcome up to 400 professional, academic, and avocational archaeologists from across Canada, as well as University students, Indigenous participants and interested members of the public. Attendees will present the results of their archaeological research via presentations and posters, as well as participate in local fieldtrips in the Bow Valley and a banquet. There will also be a fun evening public lecture, a planned public “pop-up” event, and a full day of sessions on the ongoing research on the sunken ships of the Franklin Expedition.
The meeting will be held at the Coast Canmore Hotel and Conference Centre and we anticipate that many participants will arrive early or stay a bit longer to enjoy the mountains. This large conference will offer both short-term tangible benefits and longer-term intangible benefits to the business community in the larger Bow Valley area. Rising costs are making it difficult for academic non-profits to undertake conferences like this, which are so important for students and to allow archaeologists to share the results of their research with the community.

Various sponsorship levels are available (see below) and will be acknowledged throughout the conference in many ways including: logo recognition, signage, acknowledgements during sessions and at the public lecture, and more.
In addition to sponsorship, another opportunity for your support is in the form of gifts in kind for our planned silent auction or raffles; we would especially like to enhance our fundraising through being able to offer local experiences such as tickets to business attractions or stays.
