Dear Mr Warrick
This is unexpected awesome news. I am very honored to be picked as a recipient for this award. News like this refers me back to the team work we put to solve the greatest mystery—the fate of the 1845 Franklin expedition. I always highly credit the strong origin of our ancestor’s way of passing down oral history, the many early Europeans that came searching for the lost expedition and not last or the less for Parks Canada to have faith when they decided to search on the Inuit point of view of what really happened. It was with this open and trustful partnership and their endless hours of search we all made it possible to solve this dream of those who choose to believe the unknown. The find of two ships Erebus & Terror is a great benefit for our small community for future development for eco-tourism and employment for the years to come ,and for the world to see what really happened to the greatest 19th century best-equipped modern British navy expedition. We may never really know fully what happened but we all made it clear to the many of the 139 men that served on those two ships decades back in Europe that we may have some answers in the future as work is done to investigate the two ships. Once again a great honor and I am very proud I chose to listen to the many great story tellers—my late ancestors.
I am very pleased with the invitation to receive this great honor in person, but lately I have had some health issues. If my comments can be shared at the event I would be grateful.
respectfully
