Abstract

The 2001 field season at the Qajartalik (site JhEv-1) soapstone quarry allow the discovery of new evidence suggesting a use of the site over several centuries. The authors will discuss these discoveries which shed new light on soapstone use in relation with highly symbolic visual manifestations.
