Un patrimoine fragile  à préserver : 40 ans de conservation archéologique au Québec

Célébrant cette année le quarantième anniversaire de sa création, le Centre de conservation du Québec restaure les collections archéologiques du ministère de la Culture et des Communications ainsi que d’autres collections provenant de partout au Québec. Grâce à la conservation archéologique, les restaurateurs contribuent à la préservation et à la documentation d’une culture matérielle fragile, qui nécessite souvent des mesures de protection dès le moment de sa mise au jour. Voici donc un aperçu sur une profession et une pratique souvent méconnue, celle du restaurateur spécialisé en archéologie, qui joue un rôle de premier plan dans la préservation de notre patrimoine.

Old Quebec: Untold archaeological stories
