Editor’s Notes: Training the Next Generation of Archaeologists: Resiliency in the Face of Continuing Challenges Gerald Oetelaar

In my editorial notes of the preceding issue, I used the contributions of the different authors to outline some of the challenges facing faculty members in academic institutions as they try to train the next generation of archaeologists. Today, I would like to elaborate on some of these challenges and discuss some of the innovative strategies being adopted to address these obstacles to graduate education in archaeology.
