However, despite a long-standing interest by geologists, no extensive survey was undertaken in the area until 1988. This paper focuses on the nature, distribution and prehistoric exploitation of Scots Bay chalcedony. Further, results of a preliminary investigation at a major quarry-workshop site at Davidson Cove are presented.</style></abstract></record></records></xml>
